Winnipeg, the capital of the Province of Manitoba, is at the geographical centre of North America. It is Canada’s largest distribution centre between Vancouver and Toronto, and one of the few North American cities that can handle distribution of manufactured goods to both domestic and international markets by air, rail and highway; with direct links to seaports. Winnipeg and its nearest bedroom communities currently have a population of approximately 732,600 according to the City of Winnipeg’s Department of the CFO. Winnipeg experiences economic stability characterized by predictable rates of population, housing and labour force growth.

Winnipeg has a rich ethno-cultural mix. People from numerous nations have made Winnipeg their new home. Winnipeggers have several national and world-class cultural and professional sporting organizations to enjoy, including the world famous Royal Winnipeg Ballet, The Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers CFL football team, the Winnipeg Goldeyes baseball team and the Manitoba Moose Hockey Club. Winnipeg has a continental type climate, enjoying four distinct seasons. The City is the sunshine capital of Canada, with over 2300 hours of sun annually.
